Comments: Noted for tolerance of hot and dry conditions among firs. Cones purplish, 3-6 inches long, upright
Warnings: Can't tolerate hot sun, windy conditions, or drought when young. Best where protected from wind. May have spruce budworm, aphid damage on new growth.
